  2. Wanted to upload the lyrics of this song - SHINING FRIENDS few days ago, and as usual i got a bit preoccupied with other things AGAIN…;p  Well, here it is! Consider it as a farewell gift lar…

Shining Friends

A little faith,

Brightens the rainy day

Life is difficult you can’t go away

Don’t hide yourselves in the corner

YOu have my place to stay

Sorrow is gonna say goodbye

Opens up you’ll see the happy sunshine

Keep going on with your dreams

Chasing tomorrow’s sunrise

The spirit can never die

Sun will shine, my friend

WOn’t let you cry, my dear

Seeing you shed a tear

Make my world disappear

You never be alone in darkness

See my smile, my friend

We are with you holding hands

You have got to belive

YOu are my destiny

We’re meant to be your friend

That’s what a friend should be

BYE everyone! ALL THE BEST k in watever u r doing or goin to do…:)

Till another time and another space…MUuuuACKS!!!

Lessons that we all should learn…sooner…:) in life

Friday, April 28th, 2006

I started this blog initially, not as a diary of my life, but to ‘keep’ the things i loved…stuffs i read, stuffs i heard etc…basically jz things that i wanted to remember many years down…So i’m going back to basic here…:)

THis is PART 2 of my post b4…from the same email…

LESSONS WE ALL SHOULD LEARN IN LIFE :)…

1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.

During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:

"What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"

Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name?

I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade.

"Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say "hello."

I’ve never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain

One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an

Alabama

highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride.Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car.

A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance and put her into a taxicab.
She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him.

Seven days went by and a knock came on the man’s door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached.

It read:

"Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband’s bedside just before he passed away… God
bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Nat King Cole. ”

3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve.

In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him.

"How much is an ice cream sundae?"

"Fifty cents"

The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it.

"Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?"

By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient.

"Thirty-five cents"

The little boy again counted his coins.

"I’ll have the plain ice cream"

The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table.

There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, was one quarter, two dimes and five pennies.

You see, he couldn’t have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path.

In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.

Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded.

After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.

The peasant learned what many of us never understand!
Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts…

Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness.

The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister.

I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying,

"Yes I’ll do it if it will save her."

As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did,
seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded.
He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice,

"Will I start to die right away?”

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.

So…never forget…

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that takes our breath away"

have a FANTASTIC DAY k…:)

THinking out of the box

Friday, April 28th, 2006

Something worth reading…:)

It’s from an email by my fren…

Thinking Outside The Box. . .
You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night,
when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:

1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about
.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car?

Think before you continue reading.

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and
thus, you should save her first.

Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back.

However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.

The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer.

He simply answered:

"I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind, and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."

^_^ anybody thought of that?

PosterS ENSEMBLE!

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

I finally opened up my POsteR TUBE where i keep my posters today!

Was putting that off for quite a while, coz i was afraid there’s cockroach inside and was planning to open it only when i’m feeling VERY brave.

But, since i have to put my SUPERSTAR poster in, so i decided today is THE DAY.

Thank goodness, NO cockroach inside. Was preparing to run if there is…haha

Instead, i couldn’t resist pulling all my old posters out out to re-remind and re-admire myself wat posters i have…:)

Quite fun actually…coz some i already forgotten about their existence ;p…like the FINAL FANTASY’s ones below…

Ff_7_1  Ff_7_2

ANd the FOOTBALL ones…haha…

     Realmadrid   Beck

BTW…jz in case u r wonderin, i used to collect posters. :)

I’m actually quite picky about picking posters…-.-…

i like posters which have many elements centralised in the middle…hmm…i’m very bad at explaining…but something like these…

               Lotr        Starwars2

                                    Conan

see my point? see the similarities? ;p

Oh well, i jz found out i uploaded more than 50 photos this month, so can’t upload any pics more…hmm…

Guess i jz have to show the rest of the posters next time…^_^

Morning Call !

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006

That day, around 7 something in the morning, my Kakak suddenly threw open our bedroom door and started gabbling frantically about something.

NOw, usually she speaks to us in MALAY.

But, when she got REAL panicky, she’ll end up speaking to us in MALADO ( ie Malay + Indonesian ), which unfortunately we are NOT taught in school last time…

So, basically, what me and YO ( aka the Younger One :) ) heard was just this :

"…..saya….tekan….buka….soli….."

and we instantly thought …

OMG, she probably accidentally press the door open again & Panda had ran out yet again…

Since, desparate times need desparate measures, we instantly hopped up, get a tshirt, looking as grumpy as can be and ran downstairs.

Then, things became a bit weird.

THe front doors not opened. NOr is the FRONT GAtE. The weirdest sight is Panda sleeping peacefully near the flowerpot, with no sign of having ‘exercised’ much for quite a while…=.=

The TV seems to be ON. ANd my kakak kept standing in front of the TV gabbling about something and as usual, i only get the 4 words…=/

AFter standing there, staring at her with my sleepy eyes for quite a few minutes, SUDDENLY, it dawn on me wat was wrong…

Actually, she accidentally pressed the TV ‘ON’ button while cleaning the house and since she doesn’t know how to switch it off, she get a bit frantic and hence, the BIG misunderstanding.

GREeeeaaaaAT…-.-

Now, i really HOPE I can ‘naturally’ wake up tomorrow, without any external circumvanting event intervening anymore.

Mission…

Heard something ‘thought-provoking’ from the Radio jz now.

THe DJ said that human beings have the tendency to think to the negative much easily. She gave an example : -

You may have done 9 nice things for your fren, but the 1 time u be not so nice…the person will probably only remember that 1 time more than the 9 times…

Sounds very familiar rite? :)

I mean, think about the people around you…

From my observation, it’s soooo much better to be just usually-bad-tempered-and-like-to-have-own-way kinda ppl rather than nice ppl

Coz those not so very nice ppl, they just have to be nice ONCE and the one time will be remembered compare to the 9 times they’ll not nice…

Ppl dun really get angry with them when they’re mean coz, u know, we just learn to GeT used to their outbursts…

But if u r usually nice, u jz have to lose your temper A BIT and ppl get REALI angry with u, think u’re unreasonable, nonsensical, dun think they want to be fren with such bad-tempered ppl anymore… bla bla bla…coz YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE NICE!…;p

hai…strange how we set standards for ppl rite?

I guess we all jz were born with the tendency to can’t help taking for granted things and ppl we’re too used to…*.*

so, my NEW mission is to be a " Blunt-Ruthless-Unreasonable-Unthoughtful-creature-who-want-my-own-way-and-want-it-now"…

So…BEWARE everyone…HA! ;p

er…but then, hopefully i still remember my mission tomorrow -.-

i-dunno-wat-to-name-this-entry :)

Met one of my old classmate in the train jz now.

TOok her QUITE a while to recognise me…:>

Funny thing is, halfway through chatting with me…

She suddenly said :

"You haven’t change at all"

Well…-.-

I guess i’m just VERY difficult to recognise…haha

ANywaY, really unexpected to meet her at such a circumstances…but kinda cool…lol…i’m starting to make NO sense now…;p

Nite nite GUYS…time for my bedtime…*.*

Innovative Library

Sunday, April 23rd, 2006

Read a strange news in the Hair Saloon just now.

Apparently, there’s a public library in HOLLAND, which instead of lending just books, lend PEOPLE too!

Well, they actually have a group of, ahem, interesting people in the library…u know, like gypsies, homosexuals, Muslims etc…=/

And one can just lend one of them out, bring THAT person to the nearby cafe, sit down and asked everything they want about them…oh, but got expiry date, MUST remember to return them in AN HOUR time…^-*

erm…its not really mention very clearly in the mag, but i guess they probably need a library card to borrow THE PERSON out rite?

er…wat if they didn’t return ON TIME?…will u have to pay penalties…like 50 cents for every hour late? ^_^

As u can see…my curiousity can kill a THOUSAND cats…haha

ANywaY, if Malaysia’s public library ever have this SERVICE too, well, erm…i’ll definitely go for the GYPSY…=p

HOT!

Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

One word to describe my day : HOT

Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with anybody looking hot or me looking hot…=/

It’s more about the weather, the people and the KTM lau yah scheduling systems.

Actuali planned to write a LONG complaints and suggestions list about the KTM here…then planning to go to KTM webpage, lodge a complaint, and jz write there: -

"Dear sir,

THE KTM today caused me heat stroke and muscle ache. I am very DISTRESSED. I hope you all can look into this matter ASAP.

For further details of the complaints and some suggestions, pls refer to this link to my blog : < blog address > "

Sounds really cool to do that rite? haha…

Not that i think they’ll actually bother to click the link…but then…jz wonder how they’ll react if i actuali do it…;p

But, anyway, i figure that, u know, maybe u all may not be having a GOOD day too, so i’ll save u all from the torture of reading my complaints…^_^  so, as usual, plans off!

But, few things i can’t figure out today : -

  • Dun get it why ppl dun sleep late during weekends. Weird.
  • Dun get it why i seldom meet affectionate couples who loved to hug each other in cramp trains during peak hours…

you know, will have more space to stand and more breathing space too, if everybody hug each other ;p

  • Dun get it why the aircon’s so uncold in the KTM but yet, so cold at the LRT…BIOUS! -.-

OK…very HOT here now, i mean the weather again =)…so ciao!

Panda LEng CHai oh…

The Queen’s in an unusual generous mood today.

So, since we have a sponsor, brought Panda for GROOMING ;p…

Skew3BTW, for those who doesn’t know that dogs have ‘hair saloon’ too…or maybe u heard of it, but never seen before…

well…

here’s how the ’saloon’ look like near my place….

looks like an operation room rite? ;p

Anyway, there’s 2 places in town which the moment Panda step in there, all his ‘psychiatric disorder’ like SepAration ANxieTY, STranGER-Phobia etc will all appear suddenly…

One is THE VET, and the other of course have to be THE GROOMING CENTRE.

Basically he jz keep sniffing around, pulling us to the front door to go home and refusing to bulged by laying down & ’stoning’ himself while the shopkeeper try to get him into the ‘waiting area’…hai…

  Skew2     Skew4

Well, luckily, after all the ‘torment’ caused to us, the ppl bathing him and the groomer, Panda came back realli looking WHITE and smelling really GOOD

BTW, they actuali put dog perfume on him…the smell is SOOOO strong that i really feel like fainting when i’m sitting next to Panda in the car…;p

even Panda look a bit dizzy, he kept smelling himself with the "where’s my doggy smell gone" look…-.-

Cutepan_2Panda after grooming!

Try so hard to take a full body photo but he kept moving around…

so…this is the best i can get…

kawaii desu ne, rite? ;p

BTW…love the way the groomer cut panda’s tail…

She alwiz made it look very fluffy…haha like a flower, or maybe fireworks on the sky…^_^…

dun worry, no need to trouble yr imagination, I got PIC….;p

                        Tail

look funny rite? ;p
