A quite un-beautiful experience.
Why?
well…imagine this…
Throw more than 10 girls who don’t know each other together for 3 months and force them to live together, work together, participate in activities together, whilst competing to be the MOST BEAUTIFUL…
Then give them an avenue to voice their discomfort, anger, hate and dislike of each other or the activities (Ooookkk…i’ll be fair…they can voice their likes too…). Record it, and show it on national tv.
The nett result = bitching, catfights and more bitching.
I dunno whether its just me, but i kinda miss the old kind of beauty pageant which don’t really show u that much behind the screen. Just swimsuit, gown, talent and answering question. Full stop.
i guess somethings are really better shown on the surface only…hmm, that sounds rather despicable of me to say that…haha…but who cares ;p
I’m always surprised at how after years of encounter with crappy ppl, the crappy frens i know still have the effect of stunning me with their innovative crappy tricks once too often…haha…

CRAP 1
The Couple sent me an ecard that day, with a very nice quote on frenship on the card. Of course, they also wished me a very Happy Chinese New Year and emphasized that they deliberately refuse to send me a REAL new year ecard just for fun =.=
Of course, as polite as i am, i send them a frenship card in return, stating that i have no idea what my weird frens are up to, but Happy CNY too ;p…
Yesterday, another ecard came from The Couple. Yes, u guess rightly, another un-New-Year-Ecard. And, the same one as the one i send them, if i’m not mistaken. Except in this one, they very adamantly remind me again to stop waiting for a REAL CNY card from them, bcoz, i’m definitely NOT going to get it…-.-
Hai….i know i should really stop the crap then…but somehow, irrisistable temptation…;p…
So, I send them the same Un-New-Year-Card back, telling them very very seriously and politely ( i think )that…YES…i really really know i’m not getting a real cny card…so pls stop insisting anymore…;p Ha!

What more can i say, except…WELCOME TO MY WORLD..*.*
Talked to some frens from SP yesterday. To my surprise, one of them used to be the classmate of the poor girl who got abducted during jogging just a few days back. Another happens to be the fren of the poor girl’s sister and actually live in the housing estate where the girl was abducted.
Its kind of ironic how small the world is, isn’t it? People in the news seems to get nearer and nearer for comfort. Gone are the days where victims of violence crime remains only as another of the many of pictures in the newspaper, appearing everyday to illustrate the news. Somehow, someone-you-knew-knew-someone-involved seems to put a very humanity level to the whole issue.
Is it just me or is rape cases really increasing nowadays? We haven’t even got over the hype of the Phuket Beach Rape and now, in our vicinity itself, another sexual violence case.
You know what strikes me most about these recent incidents? It’s the fact that they both happens while these girls are doing something so normal and familiar. Jogging. Strolling in the beach. We all do these stuffs before in some part of our life.
Everytime theres a major rape-violence-murder case, ppl around me will come to all kinds of conclusion about , u know, that she must have been walking alone, in a secluded spot, sexy clothings etc….in a nutshell, giving unnecessary opportunity to possible rapist….
but i sometimes wonder, if the possible rapist happens to be a believer of motivation books, where they tell us that an opportunist should see an opportunity in everything, so if this is true and this is practiced, then who are we to know when we may be seen as an opportunity for them? We are afterall no foreteller of fate, at least i’m not, even though i would love to know where is entirely safe or when is entirely safe to walk in the streets nowadays.
I guess i’m just a little sick of hearing alcohol and pornography as an excuse for such abduction rape. I guess i’m just pretty tired of analysis on ppl saying that rapist are probably abnormal ppl. Or the fact that expert kept saying education is the key to solve the problem but nothing has come out of it.
But who am i to complain? I’m just another grumpy blogger having too much time to think, righto?
I guess i just want a safer world. But its getting to be a dream now. A world where u can lead yr normal life, do things u like and not having to be overaware of every detail bit of your surroundings.
Bcoz we all have ppl we care: sisters, frens, girlfrens, mothers, even grandmas… I just hope they could be safe in just doing simple things like leading their normal life normally. But even my little sis dare not walk the dog alone in our neighbourhood now. And my SP fren sis can’t go joggin in her own housing estate now.
Is this how the world is approaching in the future?
I hope not, bcoz it doesn’t seems inviting.
wat a tiring day today….
it started off as a very promising and relaxing mornin…really….i swear…no signs of any mishaps coming…in any shape or form…but the moment i left my house…hai…

this mornin, i accidentally found a lot of pinky round stuffs in Panda(my dog)’s cage…u knw it looks very like fish food but jz very pink….
and out of curiousity, i started looking around the garden, wondering where in the world he could have get that from…and guess where i found more pinky round stuffs? in all my mother’s flower pots!…which isn’t really good coz it would be fertilizer then…and fertilizer is definitely a NO-NO to eat…
with that thought in mind, i frantically called my sister out and we both dragged Panda out from under his cage where he’s sleeping like a rabbit…and started flipping him over to check for signs and symptoms of poisoning…
that flipping goes on for quite a while….until i suddenly realised that, well, u know, i don’t actually know what are signs and symptoms of poisoning in a dog in the first place..so i asked my sis for help, and apparently, our knowledge are mutual…=.=
So…feeling a little bit ‘duh’…we both walk in, locked the doors and go on with watever we were doing jz now…leaving poor Panda lying on the floor wondering why his free massage ends so fast today…;>

Guys who are in a r’ship seems pretty fast to worry that other girl frens are interested in them, whereas Guys NOT in a r’ship alwiz seems to think tt nobody is interested with them. Well, generally. Subject to rebuttal.

argh…i think my annual flu attack is coming back again…today i suddenly woke up with a nose that can’t stop running and a sneezing attack…brrr…and a teeny bit of sorethroat…huh…=.=…all the symptoms of zee dreadful FLU…
actually, practically everybody around me seems to be suffering from similar consequences too…of course i would love to blame it on my little sis who started it, i think ( looking from the circumstances ;|)…but then, can’t bring myself to do that too coz she seems so much worse than my condition…she had the FEVER too…hai…so pls pls jz let everybody be well soon…*-*
plus, i seems to be awfully clumsy recently…i seems to have 2 suspicious big bruises around my body which i have no idea how i get it…or when i get it…or where i get it…hmm…mysterious appearance of bruises actually do happen quite often to me…so i guess it can still be considered usual…
and oh yesterday nite, while trying to ‘kill’ a cockroach in the bathroom, i manage to slip and fall(its really very slippery) and cut and bruise my knee yet again…=\…
moral of the story : some people are just are not born to do heroic act like killing cockroach…so i decided, next time, i’ll just let other braver people do the job…
and u know what, come to think of it, i’m sure the cockroach hav a good laugh yesterday bcoz i’m trying to hit it, but i seems more scare of it than it of me…hai…weird isn’t it how the smallest creature brings the bigger scares…god is so fair…haha
anyway, gotta get some work done now…hope my flu will leave me soon, er, tomorrow wld be good…;p …bye!
