a bubbly blogger….

Tuesday, September 27th, 2005

i was looking thru the net that day for info on SNOW.WOLF.LAKE the musical…and it ends up…i didn’t find what i plan to find but i found a very bubbly blogger…:) scrowling thru her blog, i found this poem that i like really much…her favourite poem…from some movie..with translation together too…

so here it is…

Je suis comme je suis.

Je suis comme je suis
Je suis faite comme ça
Quand j’ai envie de rire
Oui je ris aux éclats
J’aime celui qui m’aime
Est-ce ma faute à moi
Si ce n’est pas le même
Que j’aime chaque fois
Je suis comme je suis
Je suis faite comme ça
Que voulez-vous de plus
Que voulez-vous de moi

Je suis faite pour plaire
Et n’y puis rien changer
Mes talons sont trop hauts
Ma taille trop cambrée
Mes seins beaucoup trop durs
Et mes yeux trop cernés
Et puis après
Qu’est-ce que ça peut vous faire
Je suis comme je suis
Je plais à qui je plais
Qu’est-ce que ça peut vous faire
Ce qui m’est arrivé
Oui j’ai aimé quelqu’un
Oui quelqu’un m’a aimée
Comme les enfants qui s’aiment
Simplement savent aimer
Aimer aimer…
Pourquoi me questionner
Je suis là pour vous plaire
Et n’y puis rien changer

- Jaques Prévert

and it means….

I am as I am.

I am as I am
It’s the way I am made
When I want to laugh
I laugh right out loud
I love him who loves me
And it isn’t my fault
If it isn’t always the same him
That I love every time

I am as I am
What more do you want
What do you want of me

I am made to please
And I can’t change a thing
My heels are too high
My waist too arched
My breasts much too hard
And my eyes too dark
And then what is more
What can that be to you

I am as I am
I please who I please
What can that be to you
What has happened to me
Yes I’ve loved someone
Yes someone has loved me
Like children love each other
Just know how to love
Love to love
Why ask me questions
I am there to please you
And I can’t change a thing.

jz blogging….

Sunday, September 25th, 2005

oh hello :>…jz thought like leaving a blog today…

been trying to print a document for the past 15 mins…jz a simple Word document and somehow my printer jz can’t print…yet the status is set at "PRINTING"…hmm…weird…probably some technological defects that seems to happen so very often to my computer…haha…probably a latent defect…come to think of it, probably the latent defect is on me, not the comp…watever…;p

oh this week i’ve been learning cooking from my grandma…:) partly due to necessity…coz now i have to cook for my sis to eat at many days of the week…: \ but then, its probably high time i do start learning…haha…and its been kinda fun…trying out new recipes ( for me, practically every recipe is new), making new mistakes ( for eg, i ‘blow up’ one salty egg while trying to boil it that day ;p) , learning the little traits in cooking ( u know, adding salt here and sugar there at really unexpected places…) and the best thing is i’m officially allow to be in the kitchen playing with the wok and gas without anybody scolding me for being a liability there…

haha of course i do hope i improve in time, i think probably everyone who have to eat my meals hope so too…;) well, COME WHAT MAY!!!! ;p…

oh that reminds me, that day, i was driving my grandma to a supermarket abt 15 mins away and i missed the turning and guess what, i dunno where to turn back ….and its a highway…so in the end, i end up in Putrajaya…haha…thats not good, i know…:) but it turn out to be a blessing in disguise…luckily…. theres a Carrefour there in Putrajaya too and we still get our things we want…;)

and guess what, i found my way home safely too…haha…i was thinking at the time that u know…if i actually go the wrong direction…i’ll probably hav to u-turn at puchong or even sunway…and thats very very not good…so u can guess my relief when i saw KAJANG…big and clear and the signboard, with arrows at the right place…^_^…so bless those ppl who invent signboard…for ppl who always get lost like me, well, lets just say at least we still have hope…;p

oh news news…today we finally found out that somebody, who live near our garden is an English writer….heard that the writer is quite established too…well, malaysia’s standard lah…so thank goodness, coz we always suspect that the writer might…u know be a terrorist…:)…the wonders of a human imagination rite ;p ..haha…

ok…nite nite…getting sleepy…zzzzzzz

the nature of hell…

Monday, September 19th, 2005

The following is an actual question given on a
University of Washington chemistry mid-term. The answer by one
student was so "profound" that the professor shared it with
colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the
pleasure of enjoying it as well.

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs
using Boyle’s Law:
(gas cool when it expands and heats when it is
compressed) or some variant. One student, however, wrote the following:

"First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is
changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can
safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave, therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today.
Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell.

Since there is more than one of these religions and
since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell.

With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1) If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate
at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2) If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over . . . So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, " . . . it will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you," and take into account the fact that I still have not succeeded in having an affair with her, then #2 above cannot be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and will not freeze over."

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED THE ONLY "A."

LOL…what a day…

I was supposed to pick my sis up at 5.30pm from tuition and somehow, i got the time wrong…i saw 4.30 pm as 5.30 pm and i reached there about half an hour earlier!…believe me, i was really shocked when i check the car clock and my handphone ( and double, triple checking a few more times…;p) and found its only 5 pm…

I can possibly go back at that time coz by the time i reach home, it’ll be about time for me to come out again…and worse still…i remembered i’ve forgotten to bring much money out…so i can’t go shopping…nor to the McD nearby for a drink…the only money i have is in shillings form…and that doesn’t add up a lot….of course i do have a one dollar gold coin, but don’t think much can be do with it too…plus, nowadays, no shops seems to want to take it anymore…they all prefer the P-A-P-E-R one…hai…

so in the end, i went to a comic shop and read comics…that doesn’t cost a lot…luckily…haha

well well, the even sadder part is, i actually thought i’ll be late in picking up my sister and was secretly a little teeny bit happy over it coz i won’t have to wait for her anymore…:> ( she always take quite a while to come out)…but now…well…guess who have the last laugh…

my sis spend a great part of the journey home laughing…hmm…well, looking at the bright side, i guess at least i make HER day…haha…

CHEERIO!

about insects, animals….

i simply dislike cockroach. i mean i can survive ok with them…well, if i don’t see them at all…so i don’t really mind if they come out "clubbing" in my house after we all go to bed…

but today, augh, so many of them seems to lost track of time and came out in the morning…and that makes things so difficult…

the first one i found this morning was doing a "breakdance" in the washing area…hmm how in the world did it get there, i have no idea…but giv me a fright it does…then after much difficulty in disposing it, i found another one in the sink…yikes!…this one is very much alive, climbing everywhere, trying to get out of the sink but not being very successful…

i hav no idea at that time whether i want it in the sink or out…coz u knw, if its in the sink, i can’t use the sink coz i’m scared it’ll suddenly crawl/fly up..(cockroaches always do that!) and if its out…well, then its kinda scary coz i would hav no idea when its going to pop out to say ‘hi’…huh…so in the end, i decided to jz leave it there until my dad come home and kill it…haha…

and then another one was found in the living room…:O…huh…that we jz scream, pull our legs up and ignore…luckily, it decided to go in hiding very soon after…or else, we’ll probably hav to spend the whole day on the chair..;p

oh, talking abt weird behaviour…my dog, panda is behaving very weird these 2 days too…usually, when we go outside to the garden,he’ll jz continue lying down on the grass, his eyes following our every move…or if hes more awake, he’ll follow us around, grab his favourite fish toy and try to get us to play with him…

yet yesterday, the moment i let him out of the cage, he went and sit beside the gate and stared out…then he’ll turn to me and then continue to stare out again…that continues for quite long until i was curious enough to go to the gate to check what he’s staring at…nothing there…no cars, no people walking around, no dogs running along too…hmm…weird

today, he sits directly in front of the gate which we usually open when we come in and out…and do the staring stunt again…staring out, stare at me, then stare out…etc etc…and worse still, today, the sun is actually blazing hot at that time…

hmm…after some logical deduction, i strongly suspect he’s trying to hint to me to bring him out for his walk…coz u knw, this week everybodys kinda busy, so no long walk yet for him…well, if he do that again tomorrow…confirm i guess…probably misses his walk…

well, i hope all cockroaches put on the right time on their alarm clocks tomorrow…i really don’t think i want another shock tomorrow…:> till then!

kewl…;>

In the beginning, God created the earth and rested.
Then God created Man and rested.
Then God created Woman.
Since then, neither God nor Man has rested.

heartwarming story…do hav a i read…

Friday, September 9th, 2005

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning disabled
children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would
never be forgotten by all who attended.

After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a
question. "When not interfered with by outside influences, everything
nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn
things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other
children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?"

The audience was stilled by the query.

The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay comes into
the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself,
and it comes, in the way other people treat that child."

Then he told the following story: Shay and his father had walked past a
park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, "Do you
think they’ll let me play?" Shay’s father knew that most of the boys
would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also
understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a
much-needed sense of belonging. Shay’s father approached one of the boys
on the field and asked if Shay could play.

The boy looked around for guidance and, getting none, he took matters
into his own hands and said, "We’re losing by six runs and the game is in
the eighth inning.. I guess he can be on our team and we’ll try to put
him in to bat in the ninth inning."

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay’s team scored a few runs but was
still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a
glove and played in the outfield.

Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in
the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved
  to him from the stands.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay’s team scored again. Now, with
two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and
Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, should they let
Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game?

Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all
but impossible ’cause Shay didn’t even know how to hold the bat properly,
much less connect with the ball. However, as Shay stepped up to the
plate, the pitcher moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay
could at least be able to make contact.

The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher
again took a few steps forward to toss the ba ll softly towards Shay. As
the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball
right back to the pitcher. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and
could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have
been out and that would have been the end of the game.

Instead, the pitcher took the ball and turned and threw the ball on a
high arc to right field, far beyond the reach of the first baseman.

Everyone started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!"

Never in his life had Shay ever made it to first base. He scampered down
the baseline, wide-eyed and startled. Everyone yelled, "Run to second,
  run to second!"

By the time Shay rounded first base, the right fielder had the ball. He
could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he
understood the pitcher’s intentions and intentionally threw the ball high
and far over the third-baseman’s head.

Shay ran toward second base as the runners ahead of him deliriously
circled the bases toward home. Shay reached second base, the opposing
shortstop ran to him, turned him in the direction of third base, and
  shouted, "Run to third!"

As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams were screaming, "Shay,
  run home!"

Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who
hit the "grand slam" and won the game for his team.

"That day," said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face,
"the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity
  into this world."
